What does that mean?  Looks pretty obvious, have the ability to hold our tongues, put up with what should be shut up just a little to see if it passes, and hope and pray for the best while we prepare for the worst and trust in the Lord for the victory.

So, what is working now?

No kidding.  What is working now?  Is it you and I, our computers, the a/c, the plumbing, marketing moving us in their desired paths?  What functions, influences, alters behaviour and causes not just us but large segments of us to move or think about leaning this way or acting another way?  Just curious, yet, I have enough to do to enjoy an occasional break with some guys who enjoy story telling, a good cigar and the pleasure of each other's company.

What Are You Planning on Accomplishing Today?

Guess I need to auto fix this pix for openers, but don't they look lovely despite the how on earth did my Samsung Galaxy II Note take an out of focus shot?  Must have been some hand movement, mine. What do we plan on doing with this glorious day the Lord has made?  Hope to buy pancake mix and make pancakes with pecans in them along with chicken sausage, orange juice and plenty of JOY and laughter, settle a church discussion, help host a surprise 10 year old boy birthday, and be a blessing to those around me.  Yes, I have a webinar to finish writing and populating, 3 insurance cases to finish up, a couple of rollovers to allocate, and plumbing issues to address.  Yet, consider it all Joy.

Grandchildren Can Be Fun

There is splashing, smiles, and hot dogs.  Yes, the are fun.

That's where two of three sleep, the little darling doll babies, Elizabeth, the younger and Sarah, the eldest.

Doing or Waiting?

Yes, I know, life is a mix of this that and the other thing, yet, I prefer doing to waiting. How about you?

Still Piddling?

Vision?  Let's take a moment or two, and envision our vision.  Wow, that is fun.  Would we consider taking steps toward that Vision?  Could be a great way to take a step or two in that direction and continue to enjoy the Journey.

Multi-Tasking?

Multi-tasking?  Just a quick way to do more than one thing poorly, I have heard.  Whoops.

Smiling?

Wow, can we be blessed, lucky, listening and learning.  Yes, that experience costs us a step, yet what a JOY to simply take a step, plan our work, work our plan, have a vision and spread the good news.

You wake up one day, and whoops, this that and the other thing happen, yet, that's just part of the journey, and that, friends is part of being and growing up.  Lessons learned?  Be what you can be, and enjoy the journey.

Wow, who knew there was so much more to learn?

Whether it is setting the a/c and heating systems, or dead heading the roses, or GKIC, there is always a verse, a thought, a technique, which enters and with luck be helpful and useful.

Finally the keys work. At the Centurion Club in NV.  Had not seen one of these before today. That's okay. It is the only one on earth. Flight has been delayed and the bar came equipped with two whoops drinker from New York. Life is always entertaining. Thank You Lord.

Approaching Father's Day and Wondering?

Nothing quite like the responsibility of being a Pop or Dad or Daddy. Kids depend on us, moms look to us for support and the world wonders why we bother, unless one of the kids is acting up and disturbing them. Still it was worth the time and effort, cheers and tears, Now remind me how those counter tops got on my front lawn.

Yes, that is a pretty large home in front of a golf course in NV. Here across the way listening and learning.

Yes, the Eifel Tower is quite striking, yet it almost did not happen and barely escaped being torn down.  Now?  An icon.  Moral?  Have fun with the day and be productive with it, never can tell something we are doing might have impact and endure, or not.

Has this ever happened to you?  Lately?  Golly, my old Dell computer had been limping along for some time, so I ordered a new one with Windows 8.  Would love to tell you that is going well.....

Really doesn't matter what the opposition, our Job? Keep on making a difference

Yes, worked out and this was one of the views.  Usually it is a mirror or a wall.  Nice to see the outside once in a while.  Yet, the day has been one challenge after another.  Discovered that Window 8 will at times open with or sans "home" tab.  Luckily, learned to keep on keeping on regardless.  Also the scheduling seems to be a bit behind, in time we will catch up to when they were supposed to host and start or not.  In the end we have our objective:  Keep making a difference.

Something new?

Yes, I like taking pictures of flowers and children, and mom's and sunsets. Using a new computer today, nothing like Windows 8, the absence of a mouse, and no coffee pot in a hotel room.  We forget just how spoiled we are until life teaches us these simple wake up and find the coffee messages. Put something new in your life just for the fun of it.  Dance, sing, enjoy the Journey.

Catching Up With Weird

Not sure how my computer knows what is on my Samsung Galaxy II Note, but it does.  Took this picture today while walking about of all places, Las Vegas. Not here for the heck of it but to attend a workshop on how to conduct workshops via webinars.  Keep your seats and stay tuned for updates.  Prior to that did stroll at pace between The Tropicana and the Luxor twice, once to make sure I could find while picking up a ticket for Crisis Angel Believe by Cirque du Soleit.  Then to actually see the show and back to the Tropicana again.  Certainly had my walking and watching in today.

Now That is a Coping Opportunity.

Really?  Yes, it is. Up and out early, walking about, enjoying the cool of the early morning before sunrise.  Not so fast.  Shower, gurgling, tube backing up, commode harmonizing. Home Warranty, send us a plumbing crew.  Wonder how that air conditioning work orders are coming along and the back ordered fan for the standing outside unit? Case to design and place, reservations (air and hotel to confirm and a parking slot to secure.)  Whoops, one is a day early two a day late.  This will be interesting.  Okay, it does workout, just will be there working rather than here working. Plumbing?  Oh, did they check your sewer line as part of the inspection?  I don't recall them doing that and we both know if they had, this problem of broken pipes would have blossomed in Spring rather than now in the Summer.  Just another learning experience.  Get all critical systems in your potential home checked in advance:  wiring, foundation, water, sewer, roof, pool (if you have one) air conditioning and heating.  What ever you do don't run out of ice for your drinks or wine for those who don't need the ice. Be a bold blessing in all circumstances.  This too will bless.

Lost?

It happens.  We get turned around, or going to a new place on a hot day, and wham, we are lost.  Thanks to Navigator on my phone, and a sense of adventure we usually get where we are going, yet, there can be a cost in time, energy and aggravation or we can simply learn to enjoy the here and now regardless of location.  Which do we prefer?  Happy, or Grumpy?  Just Curious.

There is a a reason for that.

Really?  Yes, it seems that if we do this, that happens.  Pretty predictable.  In the best cases, it is wonderful to see vision, planning, taking action, listening, learning, getting coached, applying the adjustments, and wham, it worked or it did not.  Yet, there is another path does not require work or discipline and the end product?  Chaos.

Burning Up Summer

Enjoyed the heck out of Spring along with the rain, and blossoms, now, red hot and frying Summer in Texas.  Brain frying, mind numbing hot Summer.  Enjoy and make the best of it.

Still, it is Saturday, so, what will we do with the day?

Just never can tell.  Could sleep in, too late for that already, go see old cars at the La Madeline in McKinney, Yoga at the Y with Suzi, and must visit Nana to say hello, mop her floor and mow her yard.

Why is that?  Every experience can be an adventure in learning.  Even TV has it moments.

Is It Us? Again? Really?

Sure we learn new techniques and try them out just to see what is developing. Some are wonderful and so very helpful, like a good putter, or walking stick.  Others?  Go Mic? Had to hire a bright 18 year old college intern to set it up and write a quick start for me.  Now?  Need to learn how to send it out so it can be transcribed.  Heck, I might ask her to transcribe it and save me the trouble.  Spring Thunderstorms?? Free moisture and fertilizer for the knockout roses and  arugala, basil and oregano.  Old Nordi Trac rather than a walk outside as well.  154.5 here we come again.

Thank God

He is okay.  Yes, he had a febrile seizure, I looked it up, seizure (tightness in muscles,) usually caused by fever in a child (baby) between 9 months and 5 years old.  Lasts longer than a couple of minutes go to ER, if several dial 911.  Follow up with the doctor.  Me?  First step "Dear Lord, please bring comfort to Zachariah, his parents and sisters, along with family, and skill to the doctors, nurses and staff.  Thank You Lord.  Yes, without ceasing. Amen.

The Home of the Free and the Brave.  What the heck happened to self-reliance and being neighborly or behaving well?  Not sure but now is a great time to get back with it and not just remember who and what we are but to act like who and what we are:  fine, self-disciplined, hardworking, innovative people who can not only get it done, but inspire others to be all they can be as well.

This would swing in the breeze?  Yet, on a big windy day it does, by design.  How very thoughtful. Now wonder how much thought replaces emotion and need in our daze?

Golly, every once in a while it is a mighty fine idea, to kick back, take a series of deep breaths and rest, reflect, relax, smile and be happy with what we have done and excited about what we are about to do. Smile, and take a break.

Posting on a Saturday? Really?

It happens to be another beautiful day in paradise.  Cars and Coffee Dallas, Cigar case and new torch lighter at the office, Yoga at the Y with Suzi and perhaps even I-Hop with one of our prepaid cards. Yes, there will be some edging and errands and errors, but, oh boy it is another day to experience the sheer Joy of being alive, well and productive.  What's on your dance card?
