Thunder and Lightning in Texas

Nothing quite as refreshing as Thunder, Lightning and Rain in Texas in August, lovely. Little tough on the pool water but, the grass, tomatoes, Arugula, Knockout Roses, are enjoying God's fertilizer bath. Hope you are too. Happy Sunday morning.

Same Old Silliness

New Computer new worries and adventure coming up.

Happy they had the fountains up and running for a photo shoot today, sorry not to see them more often, new Windows 8.1 new and improving technology, hope to live long enough to redefine the color scheme so I can read the print in advance.

Two little ponds four fountains flowing, only the second time I have seen this since February of this year. Very exciting to those of us who are easily amused, and I am thankful to have gotten that from my mom, nice to have happy joyous genetics. Have fun and Be Well.

With Luck, that was mom and dad, and perhaps a brother or sister, then a wife and children and live long enough grandchildren. It is a Joy and work, and that is okay, not always convenient, but oh how lovely to not just see little ones rediscovering the joys of life we skim right past but how much fun is it to make chocolate chip waffles, pour chocolate sauce on top and add whipped cream all over the plate? If you have not had the pleasure of trying it................... Nothing like those early morning smiles, kisses and hugs. Have Fun and Be Well.

Was with some gentlemen talking about this and that and the subject of wealth came up. What made someone wealthy and what were the numbers? Meaning How much net worth would one need to have to be in the top 1% or 5% of the U.S.A. or as we call ourselves Americans? Talked to my Samsung S-5, did not get the answer. Researched it on my lap top the other day. Seems like a couple of years ago the "Wall Street Journal" had an article on the subject. In terms of net worth (what we own less what we owe) the top 1% had $6.7 Millions of net worth and the top 1% $1.7 Million. for those of us who like and own things that are priced daily, this is an easy number to calculate, for those of you who own farm land, oil royalties, rental property, office building, medical practices or buildings there might be some room for interpellation and fudging up the numbers. Still it was not as much as some guys thought and more than others might have guessed. Have Fun and be Well.

Was at a gathering the other evening, a couple of octogenarians, who and still do travel the world, one in his seventies who went to college on a music scholarship (trombone) yet went from band director to software consultant, pilot, world travel and collector of collections, two of us in our sixties who fly Business Class in most directions, and one young man of only forty-nine who was joking about being eligible for an AARP card. The traveling the most octo chimed in you will enjoy the discounts. Be aware, that fellow has an estate planning problem. A nice way of saying and you can look this up to see how much net worth (what you own less what you owe) to see just how many millions of dollars of net worth that would be. Less than 3% of the population, it is more like less than 1% perhaps now, have such a problem. We are getting more technology, more health care choices yet we do not seem to be adding wealth. Not sure how that happens are you?

Yes, it is shiny, but until it starts I just don't think it is going anywhere but in our imagination. Love to dream, think, plan, write it up, map it out, staff it up, line up the resources, do the research, but after all that if we do not take Action, nothing, and I do mean nothing has happened. Don't believe it?
Okay, try to move a book. Well, you just moved it by taking action, not possible to try to move a book without taking action, even if it is too big to move, at lease we tried. Have fun with it.
