Oh Well,

Fellowship, conflict, turkey, stuffing, and plenty of pies? Oh Well, let's enjoy the good of it and forget the rest.

Be Thankful and full of Joy

Yes, we are having fun, and wish each and every one  of y'all peace, love, happiness, and Joy. We are thankful and full of humility, no kidding.

Be Well, Have Fun with Today, and Be a Bold Blessing

It could be a smile, or chocolate chip pancakes or a hug, or a shoulder to cry on, or money. Who knows how or who we can help today.

Wasn't that fun?

Nothing like visiting with grandchildren, feeding them, laughing with them, and seeing them wonder and wander, thanks for the mind opening experiences, kids.

Short Winter in Dallas,TX

Why is that? Well we could be lucky or it could be God's design but it just doesn't stay cold long here, may well get another freeze but not this wet warm weekend/

Plugging Along?

We can do better than that, but not to worry or get in a hurry, just keep the vision in mind and take a step toward it.  Okay?

Pressing On, Regardless of Results, and You?

She we get older and tired, and at times confused, but we press on, regardless of the results. Let's be cheerful along the way and excited about each adventure, right here and now.  Okay?

Easing back into it.

Yes it is cold and it did snow in Dallas, Texas, but we are easing back into the world, looking forward to getting over what ails us, and having our pool equipment repaired. What a blessing Eddy Fuentes has been to this family.

Nothing Like a cold snap

To knock off accuracy and make shells not function properly or was it my bifocals? Did not seem to bother my son J.J. all that much.

Wednesday, November 12, 2014

Wow, what a day

Power shuts off at home? How did that happen? God only Knows. Office, calls, skeet shooting in freezing cold with high winds, won the worst shot, nothing like old age and bifocals to make us have a great big John Checki Laugh, seeing a 25 year client PUTC, picking up the check, getting it off to the provider, and having a fine meal at home, negotiating some special dispensation for my wife who does what she does daily, then on to the next stop. Oh? and TCU is in the Final Four College Football Playoffs?

Happy Wednesday, Y'all.

Trees are turning pretty Fall colors in Texas, the temperature dipped below freezing, great day for a roaring fire and a lovely afternoon with one we love, wouldn't you agree?

Veterans Day, Thank You for Our Service.

Yes, some of us, learned how to shine boots, march in formation, shoot a weapon,  take orders, peel potatoes, and look forward to getting a leave. Lovely experience for me in Fort Polk, Louisiana. Wow did I learn a lot. No, not the lessons most people learned, sorry, that's a totally different story and if I live long enough, I might get around to telling it. In The Mean Time, Thank You for Volunteering, and/or reporting, training, reporting, doing the duty, and coming back alive. Go Frogs and Aviators.

USPS mail at the office not at home, oh well, thought tomorrow was Veteran's Day.

No kidding. Not to worry, there will be a Thursday for some of us. Hasbrouck Heights High School class of 1966, approximately 140-150 graduates, 7% gone (died) by this year 2014, wow, what a surprise, at least five of us were in the U.S. Army, back when Viet Nam was a War, and yet.... No I did not nor will I pretend to have gone anywhere East of Louisiana, during that war, yes, I did volunteer, and was inducted and served, but that is a story I'll tell another time, not today. Thank you Veterans who served, here, there and where ever we were assigned. May God continue to Bless us.

One More Than We will order?

Hardly ever a great idea, wouldn't you agree? Especially if we are not already home.

What Would That be Like?

Still can read, and write, yet, the hearing is gone, and the acumen wavers, there are smiles and laughs, that is the best we can do after a while, wouldn't you agree?

Look What they have done to our song, Ma.

Not Sure How This Happened?

Follow up, Follow up, check the work, the process, the intent and the bottleneck. Never give up that process.

We are not special?

Trucking Along, How About You?

Yes, the wine country (Napa Valley, CA) was fun, look forward to more of those wines being delivered to us here in Dallas, TX, sooner rather than later.

Wednesday, November 5, 2014

Wow, that is just too bad.

Not a day goes by, without surprises and lessons learned again and again. Who lost what who just has to have this or that.  Silly, or as one would say why tell me?

That's Okay, Be Who You are supposed to be, okay? If not why not?

We encourage, laugh a lot, and do our best to do our best.  On a good day it works on others days we learn from the experience, but we smile, love, and are full of gratitude, look forward to learning how to spell on my own.

A Driver (as in a driver car, one we love and get to drive.)

Yes, it is fun to drive, and did not cost all that much.  Jed, thanks for your help with this.

Press On, and enjoy the progress

Yes, that is my 92 year old mom. She on a good day can hear through one ear with the aid of a hearing aid, but she reads her Bible every day, and when I see her is full of Joy and spreads that Joy to the staff and fellow retirees. Press on and enjoy the progress no matter how you and I measure progress.

Good Bye and Good Luck to You.

Spring is done, Summer has petered out, and now Fall is with us, lovely, the season of falling leaves and temperatures.

TCU Wins by one point with a walk away field goal.

Thank You,

What's in the stogie? Just long filler tobacco, Bear, just long filler tobacco, no kidding. Have fun and be well.
